Children

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, …for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” -- Matthew 19:14 NIV
Nursery – Our church provides a nursery for babies and toddlers through age two during all regularly-scheduled services giving parents an opportunity to experience and enjoy the worship services with the assurance that their children are being cared for by carefully selected church members. Upon check-in at the nursery, family members are given a beeper which will be used to notify parents if they are needed at any time.
Children’s Church – On Sunday mornings, Children’s Church for ages three through five is available during both services. Children learn and fellowship in an age-appropriate environment through Bible lessons, singing, and craft time.
Sonshine Choir (Wednesday 6:30-6:45) (Ages 2-4) The Sonshine Choir is a great opportunity for little ones to learn about God through music!
Children’s Choir (Wednesday 6:00-6:45) (Grades K-5) The children’s choir program provides an opportunity for children to develop music skills and to worship God through music. Children share their music in worship services and special seasonal programs.

Royal Ambassadors (Wednesday 6:45-7:30) (Grades K-5) R.A.s exists to involve boys and their leaders in the spiritual process of developing an “on-mission” lifestyle. Royal Ambassadors utilizes activities that are designed to help children learn about missions and get them personally involved in practical missions experiences.
Awana (Sunday nights 5:30-7:00) “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” –2 Timothy 2:15.
Awana is a nondenominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Awana Clubs International supplies programs, materials and training for more than 12,000 churches in over 110 countries. Their message to churches in simple: “We are here to serve you with a ministry that is all about fun with a purpose – to win and grow kids for Christ!”
Reaching our young people is of extreme importance. We know that 85% of all people who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior by age 18 never will.
At Macedonia our Awana Clubs work with our other ministries to give children a well-balanced emphasis on knowing Jesus and how we can live for and serve him.

Sparks (Grades K - 2) The children work with Sparky through the Hanglider Handbooks. Each handbook contains Bible verses for Sparks to memorize and earn awards. Sparks learn what Jesus has done for us in the past, present, and future.
Truth & Training (T & T) (Grades 3 - 5) This energetic group of kids work with their outer space pals on the ultimate adventure in a series of discoveries. The T&T kids operate in teams to discover much about God’s word, God’s creation, and God’s challenge to His children.
Club Activities
Handbook Time
Clubber will work in their individual handbooks learning and reciting sections. Using achievement-oriented curriculum, Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses. Psalms 119:11 says, “Thy words have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee.” Our prayer is that the verses our children learn in Awana will help them to live Christ-honoring lives.
Council Time
Bible lessons taught by AWANA leaders use age-appropriate material to challenge each student at their own level.
Game Time
Every Awana Club meeting includes a high-energy Game Time featuring individual and team competition. Game Time unleashes kids' natural energy and enthusiasm. Kids love Awana games!
